A portrait on K. Schippers

K. Schippers (Amsterdam, 1936) is a writer, poet, essayist and art-critic. He has produced a grand collection of works existing of novels, poetry, essays, stories and consideration, and the occasional children’s-book. Quite early he became infamous for his literary magazine Barbarer, which he founded along with J. Bernlef and G. Brands in 1958. He introduced the readymade in a poetry-format. He was also one of the (co-)founders and first editors for the cultural magazine Hollands Diep, which existed from 1975 till 1977.
