Teenage dads

Een film by Interakt,  NTR and Aisha Bosnie about the struggles that young, black men encounter on their way to fatherhood

Aisha: "The general idea is clear, black men are no fathers, are no care takers. What are they then? Gangsters, players, macho's .... no familymen anyways. But I do know quite some friends, colleagues and familymembers that do want to become a real dad and who deliberately choose to become a father. They are part of a new generation of young men that consciously choose to become active fathers and who would like to talk about the subject. They fight to show a different perspective and struggle for fatherhood, or actually, for parental authority and want to break through the (cultural) cycle that does exist. They want to become a dad, eventhough they never had one themselves."
