Orville Breeveld searches for the "new" history of Europe. The reference framework of the current European, when it comes to the black man or woman, often goes back to migrations from the old colonies or slavery. Orville Breeveld states that there is no such thing as "black history" but that there is just history. From his own kitchen, where family members and friends join in, Orville moves into Europe to tell his own, special and colorful history.
Missing Memories is intended to create awareness among Dutch people of the fact that up to hundreds of years before the major migration flows in the 20th century (from Surinam and Morocco, for example), various black people in Europe have already made a significant contribution on many areas.
