Johnny and Jones
What do two boys with a guitar, a composer of modern-classical music, his aunt (once a famous revue dancer) and two modern-day fashion designers have in common?
These four completely different stories come together in the film ‘JOHNNY AND JONES, two boys and an opera’. The film tells the story of how the show of the Dutch duo Johnny and Jones was nipped in the bud by the Nazi’s.
The film combines the tragic life-story of the two boys who brightened up pre-war life with their happy and farcical songs, and the dramatized reality of the opera that focuses on the mysterious recording of the duo in August 1944.
