I don't want to see it, but I have to

This film is about the work of Dutch painter, water-colourist, sketcher and graphic Co Westerik.

This film has been made as an eye opener for the audience; to show them things that go on behind the surface of the paint and way beyond the canvas. A search for meaning, beauty and emotions. From a strong personal vision, Jan Wouter van Reijen has documented Co Westerik's work. In this film Westerik's work isn't viewed from a distance, but we are carried into it, so to speak. The experience of the film maker with Co Westerik's work is presented to us by image association. Besides the 81 minute long documentary, the DVD also contains all the paintings by Westerik.
