K. Schippers (Amsterdam, 1936) is a writer, poet, essayist and art critic. He has an extensive oeuvre to his name, consisting of novels, poetry, essays, stories & reflections, and a single children's book. He was known early on by the literary magazine Barbarber, which he founded in 1958 together with J. Bernlef and G. Brands. He introduced the readymade as a poetry form. From the cultural magazine Hollands Diep, which existed from 1975 to 1977, he was one of the founders and first editors.
